01 / YOUR RIDING SPOT

FIND THEIR
HAPPY PLACE.

Where can kids ride a dirt bike in the UK? Start with suitable private land with permission, or a junior practice venue that accepts your child and bike. Tap a picture to explore.

PRIVATE LAND / WITH PERMISSION

Permission first. Then a suitable space.

Ask the landowner specifically about motorbike riding. Choose a suitable area away from the public, people, animals and hazards. A responsible adult stays with the rider.

Parent checks for this spot

  • Check public access, paths, noise and any local restrictions. Owning the land does not settle those questions.
  • Assess the space and surface for your rider and bike. Follow the bike manual and arrange any needed instruction.

For the Trail49: suitable private land with permission and adult supervision. Keep off public roads, pavements and public paths. Illustrations show fictional settings, not verified riding venues.

What about a park or woodland?

An open gate or quiet path is not permission to ride. Start with suitable private land with express permission, or an appropriate venue. Check public access and local restrictions.

Will any junior track do?

Ask about your child’s age and experience and the exact bike. Confirm that the operator offers an appropriate beginner session and accepts your rider and bike.

02 / A LITTLE PLANNING

WHERE CAN WE
RIDE NEAR US?

A little planning is part of the adventure. Choose somewhere together, speak to the operator and make a plan for the day.

THE FAMILY PLAN

“Where are we riding?”
Let’s work it out together.

LOOK LOCAL

Find a starting point.

Search for junior practice tracks or children’s off-road motorcycle training near you.

Check directly with the venue before making plans.

HAVE A CHAT

Tell them about your rider.

Give your child’s age and experience, plus the exact bike. Here’s a message to get you started:

Can a child aged [age], with [experience], ride a [make/model] at your venue? Which beginner session, protective kit and supervision do you require? Please confirm booking, noise limits, insurance or membership rules, and opening on [date].

CHECK THE DAY

Their very first ride?

Tell the operator or instructor. Ask about introductory instruction and separation from faster riders. Confirm the booking, weather, adult supervision and suitable transport.

Now, let’s get the kit ready ↓

03 / THE GET-READY ACTIVITY

PACK TOGETHER.
CHECK TOGETHER.

Kids help with the packing. Parents check the fit, the plan and the bike. Work through the six checks together.
